While I have tried almost every camera bag on the market, I always go back to this one. 🤍
My absolute favorite camera backpack is the @brevite Jumper. I have both sizes, regular and large.
Super versatile, comfortable and holds so much more than you’d expect.
If you have longer lenses, I’d recommend the large version. For my Fuji cameras, the regular was way more than I needed. Currently using the large with my Sony gear for sure.
This backpack was in the rain for many hours in South Africa and the inside was completely dry. Was NOT expecting that!! (photo #2)
It traveled to Greece, Turkey, Israel, South Africa and all over Southern California, airports, and more this year.
and I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

I handed my @stanley_brand coffee mug to @marianne.p.carter.9 so I could take photos on the beach… and she spilled it on her jacket.
So I give her mine and she wanders ahead of me in that pre-sunrise glow. Since I had the Sony 135mm prime lens, it compressed the colors nicely pairing well with my cool toned @llbean shirt jacket.
Couldn’t have planned it better 🤣🤣

On this day, 2 years ago, one soul was saved as one soul was passing… and it’s one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever experienced.
Some of you were here as it unfolded (see my Pups highlight to watch how the play by play of how it went down). It’s crazy to look back and see that Lyla was in all the videos before we knew she’d be going home with us.
We were devastated as Cali had a seizure and died in the parking lot of the vet’s hospital. She was our third pup to pass in 10 or so months. That night, we applied to Saving Grace to rescue another pup and made an appointment to visit the farm.
Lyla (formerly Odette) was the first dog we saw when we got there…. But she wasn’t interested in us at all. In fact, while my mom went to fill out the paperwork, Lyla kept trying to get away from me. She did not want to go anywhere with us!!!
While looking through her papers, we saw that Lyla was set to be euthanized the same exact day Cali died on November 17, 2021 in a kill shelter in Eastern NC… but fortunately was rescued by Saving Grace dog farm. Divine appointment ❤️
While I miss our old crew, I absolutely love Miss Lyla and her quirky ways. She reminds me so much of Chase too.

How can photography be a journey of self-discovery?
From determining your photographic style, subject preferences, and the stories you choose to tell through your images, can reveal a lot about who you are as a person.
It can challenge you out of your comfort zone, and make you appreciate new details in the world around you.
And the more you explore different genres of photography, you may discover new passions!
While this may only be my opinion, I believe the journey of photography can create a self-awareness that guides you when pursuing activities that align with your interests and skills.

post op // week 11 update
Unfortunately not a ton of change… I’ve been able to include cucumbers 🥒 cut up with dressing (thank you @chickfila for the avocado 🥑 dressing that is now sold in @publix )
Other than that I’ve tried banana and red pepper and a couple other items, just can’t get those down yet.
I have not been able to maintain a ton of a routine (even though in another post I mentioned it feels like Groundhog Day)!
Getting some more stretching in though to work on mobility in between periods of pain.
Spent the morning at UNC 🏥 for some more testing and I’ll anxious to see those results. 😬

A common question I receive is: do you recommend the Canon Rebel cameras?
That answer used to be easy… but now it’s much more complicated.
As part of a “best cameras for beginners” series I’m writing, I dedicated an entire post to Canon Rebel cameras.
The Canon Rebel T1i was my second DSLR camera, so I pulled it out of the closet yesterday in my nostalgic mood and took some photos (using my Sony A7RV and 35mm 1.4 lens).
Next I need to find my first DSLR, but I’m afraid it’s buried in a tub with much older photography stuff..including film camera and lenses. 😳
I have some amazing shots from the Canon Rebel cameras, both film and digital versions.
